Confirmed as Headliner for Friday, August 8, on the same day with Eluveitie, Diary of Dreams and many other fine live acts, Rage is coming to ARTmania Festival for the first time and promise to unleash one big power metal hell upon Vampires’ Den.
What better way to celebrate their 30th anniversary than diving deep into their own history spanning three decades of incomparable Metal career. From humble beginnings in the early 1980s with their debut attempt »Prayers of Steel«, calling themselves AVENGER, through the flourishing 90s that peaked with their 1996 classic approach »Lingua Mortis«, all the way to recent years which also feature RAGE coming third at the “Bundesvision Songcontest” in 2009, thus carving a quarter of a century in stone.
Garnish all this with 21 albums released so far and add in some line-up changes and you not only get your average German Metal combo, but a gathering of brilliant musicians that keep reinventing their own sound with every new creative vision to come. Or simply put: RAGE!
2014 sees the trio consisting of Peavy Wagner, Victor Smolski and André Hilgers far from retiring, yet revisiting their own back catalogue and uncovering a series of previously unreleased songs or versions, demo recordings and fractions of ideas that finally went to find clear sonic ground. »The Soundchaser Archives« holds a full run of two CDs and one DVD and was released on May 23, 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
Festival passes for ARTmania Vampires’ Den are available in Diverta, Germanos, MyTicket.ro, Eventim.ro networks, at the ARTmania Bucharest office or online at shop.artmania.ro for 180 lei a piece. Day tickets will only be available at event entrance. Visitors from across the borders can purchase passes through the shop.artmania.ro platform. Special tickets and passes for events taking place at the National Brukenthal Museum and History Museum are available separately. The Large Square will be admittance free.
