Leprous and Kalandra are the first names confirmed for the second edition of “ARTmania Evenings” powered by ARTmania Festival, which will take place on the 4th of March 2023 at Arenele Romane, in a heated tent.
The series of shows organized under the “ARTmania Evenings” brand invites rock music fans to enjoy the energy of concerts and the human connection which only live music can offer. The event on March 4, 2023 will bring us the mystical atmosphere and rhythms of Nordic music.
Leprous (NO) chose to include Bucharest in their promo tour dedicated to „Aphelion”, their seventh album which had Adam Noble (Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves) for the mixing and Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Placebo) for the mastering part.
„Aphelion” is filled with energy, life and freedom and was composed, according to the band, without overthinking or exaggerated perfectionism. This new material, launched only two years after „Pitfalls”, the band strengthens their position as rising star which does not fear to experiment, to surprise or defy any attempt of belonging exclusively to a certain genre.
In a world in which progressive music offers a large range of options, a great amount of courage and originality is needed in order to turn public’s attention to you. Leprous is one of the bands which succeeds to do so. And, in 2023, is coming back to offer Romanian fans a memorable show.
Kalandra (NO) will enchant the audience with mystical sounds and ethereal melodies woven to lead the audience into unprecedented musical landscapes. TV series fans will definitely recognize the unique sound of this musical project, given the fact that the band composed two tracks for the popular Nordic series “Beforeigners” broadcasted by HBO, while the gamers will remember the soundtrack of the “Kingdom Two Crowns” gaming series.
Founded over a decade ago, Kalandra has refined their own sound, becoming a constant presence on the Norwegian scene, signing to the ByNorse Music label and bringing Nordic music connoisseurs a powerful mix of alternative pop and rock, sprinkled with mystery and tones from other worlds.
