One of the most important events from Sibiu enlarges its entertainment area by launching a new open air space, during the 12 – 14th August weekend: the ARTmania Festival Sibiu Arena 2011 Powered by Tuborg. The new place is located in Dumbrava forest, near ASTRA museum, 8 km away from the center of the town. In the final festival program there will be concerts scheduled in the Large Square, Small Square & Sibiu Arena.
Sibiu Arena entertainment area, a former military base, was set up due to a partnership between ARTmania Festival and Baumeister, one of the most important construction companies from the local market, a company with full German capital which has been present on the Romanian market since 1997. Due to this partnership, ARTmania Festival is able to launch a new area for the unfolding of open-air cultural events, in a place away from the urban crowd, which offers a full range of camping services at the highest international standards. The new space for entertainment will be opened starting with Friday, the 12th August (10:00 a.m.) until Monday, 15thAugust (10:00 a.m.).
For an easy access with the public transportation system, the attendants have at their disposal the public Tursib line leaving every 30 minutes or the bicycle lane reaching close to the location. The access in the Sibiu Arena (excepting the camping and the parking place) is free for the owners of the festival’s wristbands. The access for the general public instead, will have to be made upon the buying of a 5 lei tax applicable for each entry gate pass in the Arena. This special ticket category will be available at the Arena entrance gate during the weekend of the festival, 12th-14th August 2011, the days when this place will be open. Tuborg is the official festival beer and presents ARTmania Festival Arena in the Dumbrava Forest, while in the Small Square the public can relax at the ARTmania Festival & Granini Refreshing Area. Bilbor, the brand that brings purity from the altitude in 2011 is the Festival’s official water.
We have a good news for the ones who didn’t bought their tickets until this day for ARTmania Festival: The fifth presale is going to be kept until the end of this year edition of the festival. For this reason the passes bought during the festival and at the gates will have the price of 150 lei and the daily tickets at 90 lei.
